We are back from our mini-vacation and kids’ conference and I’ll post all about it soon, but I have a migraine and am exhausted so for tonight this will have to do!
1. Check out all of these HS freebies. Gadzooks. I’m gonna lose a lot of time on this site.
2. Overheard at the Writers and [...]

It’s that time again. I should be sleeping, or failing that I should be cleaning, and instead I’m up too late on the internet. We’re buried in snow and not going anywhere for a while though, so I’m up with the snow and the wind and the moonlight.
Here’s a bit of what we’ve been up [...]

Quick, think back to how you were taught to spell the word and then check out the discussion here.
Daryl and I were both taught to spell it wrong. It seems there are a lot of people who swear they’ve been spelling it right all of these years and were similarly misled.

It’s kind of gray and dreary here today. Daryl and the little kids are off working on the set and he and the girls have a performance tonight. If the kids get them right, you toss a goodie into their laughing mouths. If not, try another word. [...]

We’re all in various stages of illness here, me and Alex especially. Tonight we had an easy supper of pizza and peas, and it seemed a little too alliterative to pass up. The kids and I declared it P night!
We….
Had Pepperoni Pizza and Peas for supper
Ate in Pink, Purple and Pajamas
Had Pink ice cream for [...]

I’ve written up the following sentences for 3 little girls to fix. There is at least one error (spelling or punctuation) in each one. I’ll post the answers in my post tomorrow. Bonus points for catching any accidental extra mistakes I make!
1. Three lovely monkies are dancing on the piano.
2. I’m so [...]

We homeschool in that gray area of not quite unschooling. I call us “relaxed, eclectic” homeschoolers because it sums us up best and also nicely avoids labels where there are rules we have to follow.
Yes, I am so anti-authority that I balk at unschooling rules.
I have also been on the wrong end of [...]
