We’re back from our overnight trip to Mankato and packed in lots of wonderful stuff.
We started out attending a homeschool potluck picnic, where we all ate great food and played/yapped with friends until well after dark….

We’re off to Mankato again, this time for a homeschool picnic, an overnight visit with the in-laws and then a Betsy Tacy historic reenactment walk tomorrow. The girls are going to get to be old fashioned children playing in the schoolyard! It should be a fun trip.

Her lines, from the grasshopper plague scene:
“Mama, Mama, I can’t sleep.”
(Mama hushes her and tells her […]

Daryl adapted a segment of the first Betsy-Tacy book for reader’s theater. In reader’s theater, the cast members simply read their parts like several people telling a story. There is the fun of acting without the trouble of memorizing parts, making stages and such. The participants can have fun dressing the part and gathering props […]

I haven’t posted a HS log lately so I thought I’d jot down some of what we’ve been doing. All the birthdays took up most of last week but a lot of neat stuff has gone on…
Science:
We’ve seen “our” beaver several more times since that first visit and now we slow down the […]
