We went on a field trip Wednesday to see “Challenger” No. 3985, the world’s largest operating steam locomotive.
It’s on a publicity tour from Cheyenne, Wyoming, to St. Paul, Minnesota, and back. Along the way it’s stopping at tiny cities all along the route, including a couple near us.

We’re off to Mankato again, this time for a homeschool picnic, an overnight visit with the in-laws and then a Betsy Tacy historic reenactment walk tomorrow. The girls are going to get to be old fashioned children playing in the schoolyard! It should be a fun trip.

We met up with some fabulous friends who were in Sioux Falls Friday and spent the night at a lovely hotel together. It was so nice to see them and we had a blast! Bigger blog post tomorrow!
I'm a frazzled AP mom to 4 fabulous kids in rural Minnesota. Homeschooling here tends to be child-led and focused on fun. We do lots of crafts, reading and exploring. I'm madly in love with my brilliant, goofy lug of a husband and I don't get nearly enough sleep.
