Picture Day: Jack

Since our kids don’t go to SOTH (school outside the home) they don’t get the annual school pictures. They have to settle for Mama always having the camera pointed at them out in the world. Here’s a few pics of my sweetie Jack from our trip to Sioux Falls. The last one is out of focus but it’s one of my favorites. Perfection is overrated. 
Kami will be SO HAPPY to see that you’ve posted so many pictures of Jack! ;o)
Much to my inlaws’ dismay, we have rarely done the professional portrait packages of our kids either. They just aren’t comfortable in that artificial setting, posing in front of a stranger, and having them get in their face. To top it off, places like Walmart, who will do them for a price we can actually afford, also insist on getting 6 different poses even if we’re happy enough with the first one and are ready to leave. I do sort of wish I had those annual pics that show at a glance how much the kids have changed from year to year but I won’t make them unhappy JUST to make me happy or to satisfy the wants of outsiders. I had just been thinking this past week though that I should try to do some fun outdoor pics of them and have those enlarged…as a compromise. Just waiting for the leaves to turn colors a bit more. :o)
