Off for a few!

Oops! Somehow this never got sent! LOL Well, now we’re back but I’m too tired to post, so here’s Wednesday’s news. 
I know, at this rate we really ought to be calling it hotel schooling, but we’re off to Sioux Falls again.
It’s Daryl’s birthday tomorrow and we’re off to the big city for… well, something or other that you can do in cities with more than 700 people.
We’re cashing in some hotel points to get a room free at Sioux Falls’ cheapest motel, but it has an indoor pool and it’s free so I’m on board. The best part? They’re giving us two rooms! Adjoining. Woot!
Daryl has bad legs and apparently this place has only one room with two beds on the first floor that would be near an exit. That’s pretty much a must for Daryl, because he can’t walk far at all. This one and only room has been occupied for a month by someone who was supposed to check out today, so we were told to keep checking and see if he really did.
Daryl called today and the guy is staying so he was ready to just cancel and stay home. Then the most fabulous front desk lady in the history of front desk ladies asked if he would like two adjoining rooms with single beds. Would we?! I know I’m too old to say it, but I just have to say it again. Woot!
And then it gets better! She gave us the dirt cheap rate for the next night so we’re staying for two nights, in two rooms. Hot dog! (There, now I’m showing my age and even going back a few decades!)
So bright and early tomorrow morning (or at like noon, cuz that’s how we are), we’re heading off to South Dakota.
On the agenda: The Brandenburg Gallery and the Japanese Tea Gardens for sure. Otherwise, we’re winging it. See you soon!
