Grandma Time

The kids and I spent a wonderful day Wednesday with Daryl’s mom. I am so lucky to have in-laws I like so much! My own parents are both deceased, so I feel especially blessed to have Daryl’s parents. They are good people, and the kids adore them too. Even better, Daryl’s mom shares my love of thrift shops and bargains! 
Wednesday we took the kids and hit the stores. The kids were so patient! We ended up with some books, clothes and goodies for them and Grandma treated us to McDonalds afterwards. It was a fancy-pants McDonalds with a game room too! Free air hockey, foosball, video games…
Can you tell we’re from the sticks? We’re so easily entertained!

Picking apples in the back yard…
Jack and Alex loved running in this trailer bed but it would shift on its wheels and suddenly crash down if both of them were on the same side. This delighted Jack and greatly worried Alex! Not enough to get him to stop running though!
