When I was writing up what we’ve given today it seemed incomplete. A bigger story is what we’ve been given. We are so blessed, and I am always aware of it.
It’s late and I should get to bed. Alex will wake me in just a few hours. But really quick, here are some blessings from this week that we’re thankful for. Big and little, just good stuff.
- For the two monarch caterpillars Victoria found and cared for, who are now safely in their chrysallises (okay, tomorrow I will look up that spelling!) in a box on top of the entertainment center.
- For Daryl’s parents, who come see the kids in their plays and sports activities, who house us and put up with our mayhem and love us so well.
- For Dilly bars and sweet husbands who drive 2 towns away with a sinus headache to get them for us.
- For my fabulous friend Claire now officially at 100% cancer free!
- For healthy kids, of course, of course. Always.
- For whatever grant paid for the Prairie Fire children’s theater group to come and involve our town in such a wonderful experience this week.
- For Guy and Rex, who helped Daryl solve my computer mystery and get me back online.
- For the new friend I made today, who has kids the same ages as my first and last and still feels like an outsider in our little town too.
Tomorrow we’re meeting some homeschool friends we haven’t seen in a while. Then Monday the girls start the next level of swimming lessons. August promises to be a whirlwind of end-of-summer swimming, playing and plain old fun.
Goals for next week… same as last. In a nutshell — learn, laugh, love and take our vitamins.
Oh yeah. And clean. I’m not so good at that one!
