My Mother’s Day present

Okay, I’m a garden freak. This is what I asked my hubby to make me for Mother’s Day. He and the kids bought all the lumber and put them together today. Raised garden beds! I looooove them! I am not a jewelry kinda gal, but give me some plants and let me get my hands dirty and I’m in heaven. I’m doing lasagna gardening in them, since the only thing better than gardening is lazy gardening. 
I can’t wait to fill them up! (Picture removed because the blog switched it with a picture of Jack’s phonics game accidentally! They’re lovely though!)
Hey you, I have (had?) a grand plan for a similar kind of lazy gardening here. Not lasagna exactly but square foot gardening, in a raised bed with no actual soil. But after trying to hunt down “ingredients” and realizing the expense –more money than you can shake an atlatl at, LOL– I’m thinking I’ll just copy you, sort of combining the two. I can probably spend an afternoon picking all those sticks out of the leaf piles I’ve raked up this past week and feel like it’s time well spent!
