A lovely day
May 16th, 2008 by Alicia
We headed out of town for Japanese class and when we got there, we found out Kenai’s plane had been grounded so she wasn’t back yet. We hung out and played instead and had a great time.
It was a beautiful spring day and our kids and Thom’s boys all played baseball in their front yard, staged a ball store, made a chalk town and more. I got to visit with some really fun grown-ups and my kids got to visit with some really fun kids!
We ran a few gardening errands while we were in a “big city” and then I stopped at the grocery store and picked up some picnic supplies. There’s a gorgeous park halfway home and we had a picnic there last week too.
Alex toddled around eating/wearing strawberries, the kids played and explored, and Daryl and just relaxed. It was a really sweet time.
Later– not so sweet. Lots of arguing and throwing of fits and trying to make mama’s head explode. I figured I should mention it since it’s still Full Disclosure Friday. ![]()
