I came downstairs this afternoon and found Victoria wearing round blue glasses and playing “college teacher” with Jack and Anna. She had them at the dining room table, filling out homework pages. I came back a little while later and was told that she’d given Annalee a “pop quiz” and she had to write a report on dung beetles! An entire page, no cheating by using really long words! LOL This was not after having taught her anything about dung beetles, by the way!

Dung Beetles
Dung beetles are beetles. They eat dung. They are like some kind of bug. Ladybugs are beetles too but they stink. Not dung beetles. Ladybugs. Some bugs fly. I think dung beetles do but I might be wrong. I think they eat dung. I like bugs at least some of them but some stink. Really stink. PU. I hate stinky bugs but the time I hate them the most is winter when they come inside. They are all over. Really all over. That’s when they get stepped on so the house stinks then. I hate them the most.
Just as a note, it’s ladybugs we have in the house when it gets cold, not dung beetles! 
There’s a bit of exaggeration at work here about the ladybugs too! She filled her whole page though, and really made me grin.
